On our household farm PG Bistrović, the tradition of growing cows and making milk dates back to the past century. All the way back in 1914 my grandfather Ivan and grandmother Ana started this manufacturing and alongside them my parents Josip and Marija.
Through years of diligent and committed work alongside them, I have gained experience and love towards this work. We had about a dozen cows, and back then, in 1996, that was a slightly larger farm off of which you could live quite decently.
Through investment and work and by buying the required machinery and land we have realized that we required a bigger space for our cattle so my wife Mirjana and myself Stjepan, decided to make a bigger step in the making of milk with the making of a farm.
After lots of effort and investment in the year 2000, we built our farm for 50 dairy cows. Back then the making of milk, and also the prices were at a good level and everything was running smoothly until the situation on the market changed. Although we were making excellent quality products, stressful situations and variations in the price of milk were appearing more and more often. Driven by this problem, and certainly, in the quality of our milk, the idea of building our own dairy was born. From the inception of that idea in 2007 and after long preparations and plenty of paperwork and the financing of the project partly from our own funds and partly from approved funds from HBOR, our own dairy Marina started with its trial work in late 2010, which was also the beginning of serious processing of milk from our own farm.
He has created a new value and has encompassed both the making and the processing and proven our dedication to that challenging work, and offered healthy local products without preservatives to our loyal customers.
