OPG Šumiga Tanja, has been active since 2006. Since then, we have raised orchards of different fruit varieties, so now we have about 120 walnut trees and about 50 other fruit trees.
We are engaged in the free breeding of chickens and the sale of eggs. Since 2017, we have intensified production and started with the production of garlic and oil pumpkin for the production of seeds.
A year later, we started breeding Zagorje turkeys and we are entered in the register of breeders of protected original breeds of poultry.
Through rural development measures, in cooperation with LAG Northwest, we procured machinery, fenced areas for turkey breeding and their housing.
We breed between 70-80 turkeys a year, which we sell for Christmas and Easter. We also offer Zagorje turkey eggs during the spring.
